This is the perfect bottle of wine for a romantic candle lit dinner. No date? No problem. All you need are some candles, a bottle of Bila Haut L’Esquerda by M. Chapoutier and yourself and you are good to go! No need to share. But if you have someone to share this with, well, you gotta do what you gotta do. This is a scrumptious wine, bursting with blackberry’s on the nose and a hint of dried tobacco and spice. On the palette, more big, juicy blackberry’s, red currents and oh so smooth. This is a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan from the Cotes du Rousillon of France, my favorite type of blend. Be careful not to drink it all in one sitting.
