Kaua'i Day 7
Day 7 we traveled to the far West side of the island to walk along Polihale beach. It was beautiful, but it was really windy and the waves were too big to attempt going into the water. While we were on the island a massive storm struck and brought on waves that were 30 to 50 feet high! These waves were the highest they had seen in a decade!
Afterwards, we headed back up into Waimea Canyon again to view some different angles.
Then back to Salt Water Ponds beach again where we saw another monk seal! They are so adorable!
That night we strolled through the sweet town of Hanapepe, where every Friday night they have an art walk.
Some film from the day:
Shave Ice of course, we could not get enough of this stuff!
We came across this quaint little cemetery just as the sun was going down and I fell in love with the colors and the beauty of the space. These are some of my favorite photos from our trip.
wow, some really really lovely shots here. i especially like the last one of mary. and of course it made me happy to see the kitty tee on tim with the shaved ice! yay!
I have been loving these Hawaii photos. Beautiful! Vicariously living through you during this chilly winter and dreaming up what anniversary I will wait for to make my own island getaway. Thanks for sharing!
