Arizona Day 3: Organ Pipe Cactus National Monutment
Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument is kind of out in the middle of nowhere. Well, it is actually out in the middle of nowhere! It was about a 2 hour drive from Tucson and you only pass through a few run down towns on your way there, so fill up on gas before you head out! Also, since it is so close to the Mexican border we passed so many Border Patrol cars and even had to pass through check points on our way back. It was a little eerie. But the park is incredible! Definitely a whole day affair. And pack a lunch, because we didn’t and we had to stop at the gas station for chips and cheese sticks.
A Gambles Quail! These birds are really noisy, but kind of hard to find.
