New Orleans!
I finally got a chance to do some traveling last week and went down to New Orleans! It was 80 degrees and gorgeous! I saw some alligators up close and in the wild, listened to some great music and ate some yummy seafood! We stayed at a really great B&B called Sweet Olives just north of the French Quarter, I would recommend it simply for the atmosphere. The former owner was a painter for movie sets so every room was painted in a different theme. We also stopped at the “most haunted place in America” a plantation called The Myrtles. It definitely felt creepy and I felt weak in the knees and sick to my stomach but I did not see anything. Here are some of the highlights from our drive there and back!
oh, and I also have a thing for photos of stairways (especially ones made of large slabs of rustic stone) that seem to be headed to an unknown destination.
More great photos! I especially like the food shots and the Myrtle Plantation. It certainly looks haunted, the trees give it away.
Oh, man, these photos are beautiful! Please tell me you put that True Blood mug in your purse. Did you try the chicory coffee at Cafe duMonde? Looks like a great trip!
