Assateague Island National Seashore

Ahhhhhhh……. I finally have some time to share some images from our trip out to Maryland this past August! I went out there to photograph a wedding and then Tim and I stayed around for a few more days of sight seeing as it was my first time in Maryland. I feel like an idiot because I didn’t realize that Maryland is considered to be part of “The South” and it was sweltering. We took a half hour walk one morning around 10AM on the beach and I thought I was going to pass out it was so hot! Lesson learned, save the beach walks for the evening!

As we are HUGE fans of National Parks, we visited the beautiful Assateague Island, known for their wild horses. I LOVE horses, they are magical creatures. We also saw a lot of different birds, which is what I’m starting out with, horses tomorrow. I was really excited when I spotted this gathering of Egrets right before a torrential downpour!
