Canada Day 1
I finally have some time to share our photos from our road trip to see my Canadian cousins back in May! My Aunt and Uncle have had a farm up in Spiritwood, Saskatchewan for quite some time now and I always love going up to visit. It’s just so nice to go off into the country and not worry about checking my Facebook page to see if anyone has “liked” my posts or constantly feeling the need to check my email. It’s simple and peaceful. My cousin Heidi and her husband Jeff also had a baby last August, Logan, who I hadn’t met yet, so it was exciting to meet him.
Before we crossed the border we stopped in Grand Forks, North Dakota for a little break and came across this wonderful little drive up diner, which was sadly closed.
After our first day of driving (for 10 hours) we stopped in the quaint little town of Sandy Lake, Manitoba. Tim and I stopped at a bar, or Hotel, as they like to call them and had a drink with our friendly bartender Dave.
There were several beautiful little Ukrainian churches in the town as well.
